
Tribute has been paid to one of the founders of the Island’s Hospice who has died at the age of 73.
Peter Vickers passed away on Tuesday following a long illness.
A former branch manager for Barclays Bank in Onchan, he was one of six members who set up Hospice in 1983 and was Hospice administrator for 13 years.
A service to celebrate his life will take place in the Royal Chapel of St John at 2.30pm next Thursday (September 6).
Nadene Crowther (pictured) is another founder member who worked closely with Peter over a number of years.
