They will stop in Peel at around 5.30pm today

A trio carrying backpacks weighing up to 25kg each are making their way to Peel on foot today.

It’s all in aid of raising awareness and funds for autism and children with disabilities.

Chris, Billy Jo and Ian are taking part in the ‘Miles That Matter’ campaign after setting off from Castletown this morning.

"The walking has been absolutely fine because we are doing it for the most amazing reasons.  I've just got my little boy in my head at every stop point." - Billy-Jo

They're aiming to make it to Peel around 5.30pm.

They spoke to Manx Radio ahead of their journey:

At the finish on Friday, the trio will hold a free event for children and adults with disabilities and their families, featuring live entertainment, a DJ, inflatables, an obstacle course, food, popcorn, candy floss, hot dogs and more.
