Its name has been associated with the Isle of Man since the first TT races in 1907.
So, fittingly, Triumph has chosen the Island to launch its latest model later today (Tuesday).
More than 50 motorcycle and national journalists from around the world will visit over the next three days for the launch of the 675cc Street Triple R.
It’s part of a drive by the Department of Tourism and Leisure to promote the Island with media exposure to Triumph due to be in the region of £1 million which, in turn, will generate publicity for the Island.
The new bikes will be road tested at the Jurby race track and on open roads on the TT course.
