A collaboration between Victoria House Nursery in Douglas and the Shoprite Group has helped Age Concern Isle of Man distribute Christmas hampers to some of its more vulnerable clients.
The supermarket firm allowed trolleys, decorated by children at the nursery, to be stationed at a number of its branches, where customers were invited to donate non-perishable goods.
The charity's chief executive George Quayle said: 'Shoprite and Victoria House Nursery have kindly supported us at Christmas for a number of years.
'Thanks to their generosity, and that of others, we have been able to make up around 90 hampers.
'What better example of bridging the generation gap than to have the support of a children's nursery helping older people in the Isle of Man.'
