Changes come into effect in New Year
A senior medic in the north of the Island says both patients and staff have concerns about proposed changes at Ramsey Cottage Hospital.
From the end of January, GPs from Ramsey Group Practice will no longer provide inpatient care.
Instead there’ll be two new full-time doctors with responsibility at the hospital with 10 extra beds at Ramsey Cottage.
Health chiefs say it’s a cost-neutral move and have moved to allay concerns.
Dr James Armour, clinical lead at the hospital and a partner in Ramsey Group practice, is keeping an open mind.
