Manx woman's struggle in Spain for correct diagnosis
If your child is ill, go with your instincts when it comes to getting a diagnosis.
That's the message from a former Island resident, whose young son is battling back from a brain tumour and septicaemia.
Karen Keefe had a real struggle to get two-and-a-half-year-old Leo correctly diagnosed at hospital in southern Spain, where the family live.
She's been writing a blog about the family's experiences:
A fundraiser for Leo, to help with his rehab, is taking place in the Isle of Man next month. Search on Facebook for 'Love, Play and Have a Good Day for Leo'.
A Just Giving page can be found at https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/ProwlersforLeo
Karen's blog is at https://leosjourney.wordpress.com/
