TT 2023: Senior Race gets underway this lunchtime

Changes to this year's schedule see six-lap finale moved to Saturday

The final action of this year's TT takes place today, with the six-lap Milwaukee Senior TT getting underway this lunchtime.

The race looks set to be a shootout between lap record holder Peter Hickman and 25-time TT winner Michael Dunlop, who've shared the victories in the seven solo races held so far.

Hickman heads into the race fresh from breaking his own lap record in yesterday's Superstock race with the first ever lap at an average speed of more than 136mph, while Dunlop has the chance to equal his uncle Joey Dunlop's record of 26-race wins.

The race has traditionally taken place on the Friday of race week, but changes to this year's schedule see it move to Saturday.

The Mountain Road will start to close from 9am at Barrule Park in Ramsey and 9.15am from the Bungalow, before the rest of the course shuts at 10am.

At 10.30am, riders will head out for a one-lap warm-up, before a parade lap celebrating 100 years of sidecars at the TT takes to the course at 11.20am.

The Senior Race is scheduled to get underway at 12.15pm.

Radio TT's live race coverage gets underway at 10.30am - you can follow the action on AM 1368, on DAB or via Manx Radio's digital platforms.
