Radio coverage of the TT is to remain in the hands of Manx Radio.
It's been announced this morning (Monday) the station has been reappointed as official Island broadcaster for the event, for the next three years.
The decision was made by the Council of Ministers and ensures Manx Radio continues its TT race commentaries, which have been broadcast for the past 46 years.
The reappointment of Manx Radio also gives the station an option for an additional three years after 2012.
Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle says as national public service broadcaster, the station should provide coverage of the Island's biggest annual event.
And Mr Quayle says Manx Radio has done the Island proud over many years.
