Follows one minute 'sound of thunder'
Hundreds of bikers are set to join a mass ride-out around the Snaefell Mountain Course as part of the annual Legacy Lap.
Departing the TT pit lane at the Grandstand in Douglas at 9.30am, they will head out to lap the whole 37.73-mile course.
First introduced in memory of Simon Andrews, organisers say it has 'grown into a shared celebration of the people, stories, and machines that have shaped the rich heritage of the Isle of Man TT Races'.
Under the instruction of the clerk of the course Gary Thompson, bikers will rev their engines for one minute to create the 'sound of thunder' to signal the start of the tribute.
TV presenter Richard Hammond is to lead the Legacy Lap today.
Registered riders are asked to assemble at the grandstand from 8:30am.
