At least 600 volunteers needed for each session of racing fortnight

Volunteers who take up roles as marshals at the TT do so 'for the love of the racing' and a passion for motorsport.

That's according to the  TT Marshals which is still welcoming people - new or experienced - to help run race and qualifying sessions for the 2025 event getting underway next week.

At least 600 marshals are needed around the Snaefell Mountain Course for any practice or race to take place, and like competitors they've also had to adapt to the bigger schedule first introduced in 2023.

One of the association's directors, Laura Sawyer says volunteers have differing views when it comes to the busier programme they now have to prepare for:

The organisation will remain open throughout TT for people to sign on to help marshal sessions over the racing fortnight or just find out more information about what the job involves.

Details on how to apply are available online at www.iomttmarshals.com

The organisation will also be available to speak to in person in their marquee behind the Mike Hailwood Centre near the TT Grandstand on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas.

Anyone interested in getting involved does not have to sign up for the whole two-week period and can simply let the association know which days they would be able to commit to.

Any new marshals will always be posted with at least one experienced official around the course.

The opening times for the association's marquee for people to sign up or simply get details are listed below:
