Coast provides welcome relief for vessels
The Island's eastern coast has been unusually busy with marine traffic this week, with a number of Irish Sea vessels taking shelter from the adverse weather conditions.
No less than six boats could be seen in Manx waters between Monday and Tuesday, as high winds and heavy rain battered the north west of England and Scotland.
Two of the more unusual sights were tug boats pulling large pieces of wind turbine equipment.
Boats seeking shelter off the Manx coast typically spend their visits slowly zig-zagging between Langness and Maughold.
Isle of Man Harbours says it's a common occurrance.
