Chris Walmsley now cared for at home
The mother of a Ballasalla man who defied all odds after an accident has opened up about the family's strength, ten years after their lives changed forever.
Chris Walmsley was left paralysed after being struck by a car on Richmond Hill in 2006.
He was initially given a slim chance of survival by doctors.
But fundraising and dedication allowed Chris to receive residential care and pioneering stem cell therapy in Germany.
Now approaching his 40th birthday, he's living a happy life being cared for at home.
