Landing stage relocation raises concerns
The Island's passenger watchdog TravelWatch says it's seriously concerned at reports the Steam Packet Company is to lose its current berth at Liverpool's Pier Head.
Reports from the city this week claim the Isle of Man ferry's landing stage is to be moved to Waterloo Dock, to make way for a cruise terminal.
The Packet's agreement with Peel Ports to use the Pier Head facility expires at the end of this year - and it's understood the City of Liverpool plans to use the prime location to expand its cruise ship business.
TravelWatch says moving the landing stage further away from the city centre and public transport links, will be a headache for foot passengers.
