
The Island’s Coroner of Inquests John Needham is due to open two hearings this afternoon at Douglas Courthouse.
The first is into the death of Stephen Osborne of Douglas, who died during Manx Grand Prix practice week.
The 60 year old, an IT consultant with the government, was killed in an incident on Quarterbridge Road close to the junction with Alexander Drive, in the final qualifying lap on Friday, August 24.
Today’s second inquest will be into the death of Caitlin Alker.
Miss Alker, who was 19, was discovered at a property on Murray’s Road in Douglas on Sunday, August 26.
