Opening newcomers' session red-flagged
Two riders have been taken to Noble’s Hospital following an incident on the opening night of the Southern 100 this evening (8 July).
It happened during the newcomers' familiarisation lap at Ballakeighan.
The session was red flagged as a result.
Organisers say the incident involved three bikes – one rider was uninjured and the other two are now receiving medical treatment.
The practice session is due to resume in due course.
Update: Just after 8.30pm the practice session was cancelled due to capacity issues at Noble's Hospital.
