Nine proposals passed
Tynwald has approved a number of recommendations aimed at reforming its own parliamentary setup.
Fourteen proposals, based on the findings of the Lisvane Report, were put to a members' vote yesterday (Tue).
Nine were eventually passed - including scope for a review of MLC's pay, and changes to the way the Chief Minister is elected.
But a bid to ban the Legislative Council from voting on matters like taxation failed to win support.
Further reforms, including the role of the Lord Bishop, will be brought to Tynwald in 2018.
