Guidelines set out for next ten years
Tynwald has unanimously approved the Island's first Biodiversity Strategy.
Entitled "Managing our Natural Wealth" it sets out guidelines to protect and preserve the Island's natural environment for the next ten years.
It means the Island has now adopted a policy in line with the International Convention on Biological Diversity.
DEFA Minister Richard Ronan told the court that he believed the cost of implementing the strategy would be low and it was the right way forward for the Island
