
Interested parties in planning matters could soon have more of a voice.
That's after Tynwald unanimously approved a report into the Poacher's Pocket development in Ballasalla.
A Select Committee looked at the way in which the Island's Director of Planning used delegated powers to approve major changes to the scheme, without referring them to the planning committee.
The Select Committee's recommendations, approved by Tynwald, include restricting those powers and allowing interested parties to speak at public meetings, and initial hearings of the planning committee.
Before the vote, Select Committee Chairman Steve Rodan (pictured) said the committee was pleased the report had been so well received:
