There'll be no citizens jury looking into options for the regulated sale of recreational cannabis on the Isle of Man.

Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson brought a motion to Tynwald asking for the panel to be set up, but the home affairs minister won support for an alternative approach instead.

Jane Poole-Wilson's amendment saw the court reaffirm support for a report into reducing the harm caused by drugs, note the Council of Minister's plans to publish an action plan by the summer and note ongoing research into the impact of drugs:

Mrs Poole-Wilson's amendment was supported 19-5 in the House of Keys and 6-1 in the Legislative Council.
