Appeal for those affected by suicide to come forward
A Standing Committee of Tynwald is seeking further evidence for an inquiry into suicide on the Island.
The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee would like to hear from people who have been affected by suicide and organisations whose work relates to the matter.
The Committee is particularly interested in:
- The adequacy of preventative measures.
- The response of public services following instances of suicide.
- The role and functioning of the Coroner of Inquests.
- The support available for those affected by suicide.
The Committee will listen to all witnesses that come forward and can do so in confidence.
Submissions should be sent by 22 January to j.king@tynwald.org.im
