Large crowds are expected to descend on St John's as the light fades on Christmas Eve, for a live reenactment of the nativity.
It's the third and final year for Christmas on the Hill.
Finding no room at the Tynwald Inn, or the local cafe, Jospeh will lead Mary riding on a donkey, to a stable close to Tynwald Hill, which this year is mounted on a scaffolding rig.
The spectacle will see three kings riding in from the east, a host of angels, a band and live animals surrounding the stable.
