Clare Christian pays respects to Arnold Callin at Tynwald sitting
A tribute to a long-serving Manx parliamentarian was made at the start of today's Tynwald sitting.
Arnold Callin, the member for Middle for nine years from 1976, went on to serve as MLC in the upper chamber for a further decade.
Mr Callin was a tough negotiator during rounds of talks with Island trade unions in the setting-up of Whitley Council terms and conditions for public sector workers.
He passed away last month.
