Regional pools report goes before members
UPDATE: The President of Tynwald has confirmed that today's sitting has been postponed due to the weather conditions. A decision on when to take the sitting will be made on Wednesday morning.
The latest version of the Governments Island Plan, combined with its Economic Strategy, is the subject of a motion before Tynwald members today.
There is also a motion looking at the future of the Island's regional swimming pools.
The pools motion, from Education, Sports and Culture Minister Julie Edge asks members to agree to her Department and Infrastructure looking at the cost of a long term strategic plan that would transfer the regional pools to the DESC. Also at developing regional sports hubs.
The Chief Minister will move the latest version of Our Island Plan which incorporates the delivery of the Economic Strategy. It's just a month before Dr Alex Allinson’s first budget of course.
Before that, members may wish to ask the Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas questions after he delivers a statement on the Highway Maintenance Charter. When this was produced in March last year, the then Minister.
Tim Crookall said his belief was it a political turning point for the highway network, which he described as the single biggest asset in our built environment.
All of this will be prefaced by 21 questions, the first six from Jason Moorhouse.
