Tynwald is being asked to support the principle that electoral constituencies in the Isle of Man should return an equal number of MHKs, and that each constituency should have roughly the same number of electors.
A committee which has been looking into possible boundary revisions wants MHKs and MLCs to support a number of fundamental principles before it goes any further.
Other suggestions include a standing committee to check on electoral issues after 'every other election', and a drive to get up to 95 per cent of those who are eligible to vote onto the electoral register.
