The Chief Minister says the UK government has a much better understanding of what the Isle of Man 'is all about' than it did three years ago.
Allan Bell gave the verdict after a visit to the Island last week by MP Sir Alan Beith, who's leading a House of Commons review on the UK's relations with the Crown Dependencies.
Sir Alan says the UK's relationship with the Island has reached a 'state of maturity and mutual trust' since the landmark 2010 Commons Justice Committee report on the Crown Dependencies.
It recommended communication between jurisdictions on matters of mutual interest should be improved, along with a new approach to representing the Island on the international stage.
Mr Bell says there have been clear positive results:
Smile of Mann programme to start in primary schools next year
Loganair passengers yet to be reunited with bags left in Manchester on Sunday
Kirk Michael man taking on 31 marathons in 31 days in memory of friend
Government grant partially funded fishing vessel later used for smuggling
CRHS plans are progressing, insists education minister
