People affected by the Russian invasion reflect on their experiences since fleeing
Today (24 February) marks a year since President Vladimir Putin unleashed a full scale Russian invasion into Ukraine.
The Isle of Man will fall silent at 11am this morning to mark the anniversary.
Over the past 12 months millions of people have been displaced and thousands killed.
The war has been ongoing since 2014 but today is 12 months since the first missiles hit the the country.
In 1991 92 per cent of its population voted for independence as part of the disbandment of the USSR.
Chanelle Sukhoo and Christian Jones have been speaking to some of those who’ve since taken refuge on the Island – and the Manx residents who’ve been helping the war effort.
