Treasury minister says department is keeping 'close eye'
Ongoing conflict in Ukraine could create a 'perfect storm' of issues for people on the Isle of Man.
That's the opinion of the treasury minister who says the war will have an economic impact here and in the rest of the western world:
David Ashford says his department is keeping a 'close eye' on developments and plans to return to Tynwald in April with a plan regarding support.
He added that whilst the knock-on issues must be accepted, and acknowledged, by Island residents the impact is 'absolutely nothing' compared to the Ukrainian suffering.
