Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal review
The Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal says ultimate power lies with the Deemsters, and that's "the right way of doing it".
The Tribunal sat in front of a Tynwald Scrutiny Committee yesterday (Mon 23).
Chairperson Jane Poole Wilson mentioned the idea of 'practicing certificates' for advocates, as a means of monitoring ongoing professional standards.
She asked what sanctions were available to the Tribunal, and whether they were sufficient.
