Tynwald backs calls for better support and communication
Tynwald has unanimously backed a committee's report on mental health services in the Isle of Man.
Its recommendations include better support for carers, a more user-friendly complaint system and better communication with patients and their families.
There was one minor amendment by the health and social care minister, which means the relevant staff should receive training on the 1998 Mental Health Act, rather than all staff.
Speaking during the debate, David Ashford said his department overwhelmingly supported the recommendations.
