Douglas man ordered to pay more than £500
A court has heard how a family feud culminated in a broad daylight brawl on the high street.
Shaun Michael Woods, of Saddle Road in Douglas, appeared before the Deputy High Bailiff earlier this week, charged with assaulting uncle Declan Brady.
It's alleged Woods headbutted Brady - who'd previously employed him - following a verbal altercation on Castle Street last October.
This led to a 'flurry of punches' which ended in the defendant running away.
His advocate argued it was unfortunate he'd ended up before the court - suggesting it was a long-running dispute which could be blamed on 'six of one and half a dozen of the other'.
Woods was fined £400, as well as £125 in costs.
