49-year-old assaulted relative during argument
A Jurby man has been ordered to pay his nephew £250 in compensation after kneeing him in the testicles and punching him in the face.
William Edward Heavey, of The Threshold, had denied the assault but was convicted after trial.
The 49-year-old approached his relative at his place of work, on Shipyard Road in Ramsey, after a disagreement on 9 August.
During sentencing Heavey's advocate told the court it was a ‘quick reaction’ and his client regretted his actions adding: "He is embarrassed to be before the court."
Heavey was also fined £750 and ordered to pay £1,275 in prosecution costs.
