Follows recommendations from JCVI and WHO
Children and young adults on the Isle of Man who are eligible for the HPV vaccination will now only receive one dose instead of two.
The change has been announced this morning, following a decision by the Island's Immunisation Committee in line with UK and World Health Organisation recommendations.
Both organisations agree that children and young people who have received a single dose before 25 years of age are considered fully vaccinated.
The planned school-based second dose HPV vaccination sessions arranged for May and June 2023 will now be cancelled.
