Leigh Morris to take up international climate role after leading Manx Wildlife Trust since 2019
Outgoing Manx Wildlife Trust Chief Executive Leigh Morris says anyone applying for the role needs to “understand the culture”.
Leigh joined the organisation in September 2019 and is now stepping down after five years at the helm.
Reflecting on his time with the charity, he’s offered advice to potential successors - and identified agriculture as one of the biggest opportunities for the Trust in the years ahead:
Before joining MWT, Leigh spent two years working on the remote South Atlantic island of St Helena.
His next move will see him take on the role of Director of International Nature & Climate at The Wildlife Trusts - a position aimed at bridging the gap between local conservation and global environmental challenges.
He says he still expects to work closely with the Manx Wildlife Trust in his new role.
Applications to be MWT's new CEO close tomorrow (16 April).
