There’s some good news for the Manx economy with the latest unemployment figures from the government.
According to statistics from Treasury, unemployment fell by 60 to just 830 in August, giving an jobless rate of 1.9 per cent.
590 men and 240 women were out of work at the end of the month, the lowest numbers since May.
Most sectors of the economy showed small improvements, although the Treasury admits half the fall is because of people moving from jobseekers allowances onto other benefits.
