Government says lowest figure since 2009
The government says unemployment on the Island fell last month – with 45 fewer people out of work.
The latest unemployment statistics from Treasury show 828 people were jobless at the end of last month, the lowest February figure since 2009.
568 men and 260 women out of work means the Island has an unemployment rate of 1.9 per cent, down 0.1 per cent on January.
The Treasury says at the end of February there were six people chasing each jobcentre vacancy in the north, 3 in the south, 1 in the east and 4 in the west.
