404 unemployed and more than 800 job vacancies in January
The number of unemployed people on the Isle of Man has risen, with more than 400 registered in the last month.
Twenty-eight more people signed on in January, than in December last year.
404 people registered as unemployed last month, a hike of 36 people compared with the same month from the year before.
The unemployment rate however has remained unmoved, at 0.9% of the "economically active population" registered as unemployed.
At the same time more than 800 (809) job vacancies were listed at the Job Centre, with 658 still available by the end of the month.
The figures show us there are still more men signing on than women, with some 70% of a majority.
