Latest government figures show lowest rate in eight years
The Island's unemployment rate remains at 1.3% - according to the latest figures from the Cabinet Office.
September's rate was the same as the previous month but there were fewer people out of work.
Last month's jobless total was 592, down from 765 at the same time last year - that's the lowest figure since July 2008.
The rate measures the proportion of the economically-active population registered unemployed.
Health services and retail distribution were the sectors with the highest numbers of vacancies last month, whilst there are almost double the number of men out of work than women.
