MERS claims tourist numbers will reduce
Leaving the horse tram tracks on Douglas Promenade unfinished for up to two years will damage the Island's reputation as a 'unique vintage transport destination'.
That's the view of the Manx Electric Railway Society which has slammed a decision by the infrastructure minister not to ask Tynwald for money to complete the track to the Sea Terminal.
The society says this decision, which it claims goes against the will of the court, will 'undermine' the effective management of all Manx railways.
The last time a horse tram travelled the full length of the promenade was in October 2018.
New tracks have been laid, as part of the refurbishment of Douglas Promenade, but they only run to the War Memorial.
