A local charity is raising funds for children affected by the crisis in Libya today (Saturday).
The Isle of Man group of UNICEF is collecting money in Strand Street, Douglas.
Violence in Libya has caused more than 170,000 people to flee their homes and cross the borders into Tunisia, Egypt and Niger.
Children and their families are facing a potential humanitarian crisis, and the organisation has launched an appeal for more than $8 million.
UNICEF on Mann chairman Voirrey Collister says the collection will go towards emergency aid:
