Corporatise, never privatise - CWU
A union representing almost 200,000 British communications workers says it's largely in favour of plans to corporatise the Isle of Man Post Office.
A report due before Tynwald today (Tues 19th) will set out a vision to transform the service into a limited company, freeing it from statutory ownership.
But whilst the Communication Workers Union opposes privatisation, it says corporatisation will allow for greater efficiency.
Deputy General Secretary Terry Pullinger said good service will remain the priority:

Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
Review of taxi fares extended to assess impact of Middle East conflict
