NAHT expects impact to the Island's education service by September
A teachers' union has resorted to balloting its members for industrial action over an ongoing pay dispute, mounting pressure on the Island's education department.
The National Association of Head Teachers has informed the chief executive of the decision in a letter on Friday (5 July).
It follows legal action taken against the department by another teachers' union, the NASUWT.
The national secretary for the NAHT told Manx Radio union members feel 'downtrodden and undervalued', because they have been 'forced' to accept a decade of below inflation pay awards.
