Claims sixteen employees at Ronaldsway security could lose their jobs
A union boss says trust has been broken, after claims airport staff could be dismissed to make way for annual savings for government.
Sixteen employees at Ronaldsway security could lose their jobs, as the Department of Infrastructure looks to recoup £250,000 by reportedly putting the post to tender for a private firm.
Debbie Halsall of Unite says the situation is 'unprecedented' and has the potential to 'disrupt all employment relationships'.
She has even warned of a dispute alongside the Island's other recognised union, Prospect.
