Debbie Halsall says bus drivers just want to same as other public sector workers
A union leader is accusing the Department of Infrastructure of being 'disingenuous' over its claims it's made five pay offers to bus drivers.
Regional Officer for Unite the Union Debbie Halsall has told Manx Radio the first of those offers hadn't been costed or discussed with Treasury, while the most recent included a 20p uplift on a previous offer.
Drivers are currently taking part in their third of 10 days of strike action as part of the dispute over pay and contractual issues.
Ms Halsall says bus drivers just want the same treatment as other public sector workers:
The Department of Infrastructure has been invited to respond to Ms Halsall's comments.
Meanwhile, the treasury minister has hinted money could be made available from the contingency fund to settle the dispute.
