The general secretary of the Manx National Farmers’ Union says she’d question whether now is the ideal time for a Tynwald investigation into agriculture.
Earlier this week, Michael MHK Alf Cannan said he’d ask for a select committee probe after talking to farmers about problems facing the industry.
But Belinda Leach says most farmers are too busy to give evidence in spring – particularly after recent snow and also months of heavy rain.
