A trades union organiser is appealing to Department of Education staff not to sign up to new job descriptions without consulting their union first.
Mick Hewer of Unite says some manual workers in the department have been re-graded and had their duties changed under an ongoing internal review.
He says many are upset about the changes to their pay scales and jobs, which have been carried out without consultation, and his message to anybody affected is simple:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
