Departing head says Unite has work to do
A departing trade union head says he holds deep concerns about the Manx government's 'profiteering'.
Eric Holmes is due to step down as Unite leader at the end of July, having been in the post since 2012.
He was due to retire in April this year, but agreed to stay on for three months whilst a successor is appointed.
Mr Holmes' career has been defined by a determination to ensure key Island public services aren't privatised.
He says there's still plenty of work for the union to do:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
Plans submitted for 85 new homes on former Buchan School site
