The Isle of Man's Trades Union Council is calling on members of Tynwald to follow the lead of MPs in the United Kingdom and impose a pay cut on themselves.
President Angela Moffatt says it's time the Island's taxpayers were told the full cost of remuneration packages enjoyed by MHKs and MLCs.
She has written to Chief Minister Tony Brown, asking for details of members' pay, pensions and expenses.
Mr Brown has announced a review of the pensions of Tynwald members, but Ms Moffatt says it must be carried out by an independent body.
She says it's time for Manx politicians to put their own house in order:

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
