Unions say they’re considering their next move after all the government’s hundred bus drivers were given their notice yesterday.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure made the move after failing to reach agreement over paid lunch breaks it wants to take off drivers to save £300,000 a year.
The drivers will have to reapply for their jobs under new terms and conditions and the department says it has contingency plans to keep services running.
Billy Chesnut of Unite says a ballot will be held shortly to decide how members want to respond:
Plans submitted for 'significant' flood defences in Ramsey
Tributes paid to cancer awareness campaigner
Police bail for two people arrested in Ramsey incident
