Young boy needs specialist treatment
The Manx mother of a four-year-old boy suffering from a rare form of cancer is asking for Islanders' help to fund his treatment in the US.
The plea comes on World Cancer Day, which is today.
Karen Keefe and her husband are trying to raise £150,000, so their son Leo can get specialist intense chemotherapy in Oklahoma.
Through a number of initiatives they've already raised around £60,000, and organised a number of events across the Island this week.
The survival rate for young children with this strand of cancer stands at 20 per cent - Karen says Leo inspires her to keep going: (play audio)
