Union calls for health body to ‘put the money at the front line’
Unite the Union has criticised Manx Care saying ‘the layers of bureaucracy keep building’.
It’s urging the health body to ‘put the money at the front line’ and ‘protect and future-proof’ health services.
The union has described its members who work for Manx Care as ‘understaffed, undervalued and underpaid’.
In February Manx Care held its inaugural ‘Care Awards’ which saw staff recognised for their work.
However Unite has hit back at the event saying: “Enough is enough those award nights and claps don’t pay the bills.”
Manx Radio has invited Manx Care to respond.
